Background
The USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Project in Ethiopia seeks to ensure uninterrupted supply and availability of high-quality health commodities through a wide array of procurement services and logistics support, systems strengthening technical assistance encompassing all elements of a comprehensive supply chain as well as global and local collaboration. GHSC-PSM in Ethiopia also works to improve pharmacy services through policy, legislative, and operational-level interventions to ensure appropriate use of medicines, and transparency and accountability in pharmaceuticals management at service delivery points.
The project gives emphasis to key health priorities of the Ethiopian Government: improving maternal and newborn care, improving child health, and reversing prevalence rates of HIV/AIDS and malaria. Working closely with the Ethiopian Government, the project procures, supports proper storage and regular distribution of medicines and commodities for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI), and USAID’s family planning and reproductive health programs.
Panagora Group, as a subcontractor for the USAID GHSC-PSM Project in Ethiopia, would like to hire a motivated, proactive, creative and innovative Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist.
Purpose
The Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting the project’s communications, knowledge management, information dissemination and training activities, which includes preparing and facilitating presentations/workshops. This person will collect and disseminate lessons learned and share successes during GHSC-PSM implementation. This person is responsible for collating, editing, taking photos/films and producing various communications and media materials. The position holder will participate in team building and planning sessions to closely work with program partners to ensure timely and consistent communication of program impact. The Specialist will design, innovate, and create multi-media messages of program successes, supervising consultants (where applicable). The Specialist will also be involved in establishing and reviewing M&E database and linkages with the current LMIS and HCMIS systems with the Ministry of Health, Pharmaceuticals Fund and Supply Agency (PFSA) and other partners.

This long-term position will be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with intermittent travel throughout the program’s target regions as needed
Supervision
The position reports directly to the Knowledge Management and Communications Manager or his/her designee.
