JOB SUMMARY
The Maternal Newborn Child Health Nutrition/MNCHN Advisor will support the Sexual Reproductive Health and Nutrition team primarily on nutrition program and initiatives ensuring quality programming during planning, implementing and reporting providing technical supports on nutrition and social determinants for maternal and child health. She/he provides technical assistance and capacity building of project staff and to collaborating government health officials and health care providers the concept of clinical and non-clinical quality assurance, promising approaches, tools and techniques of assessing quality.
SRH program has different projects working with local MoH and public facilities in an effort to build their capacity and improve the quality of services they provide. In consultation with the program coordinator, she/he will be responsible to lead systematic and comprehensive assessment of technical gaps among staff as well as partners and devise feasible mechanisms and approaches to fill the gap and improve quality of services being provided. She/he is responsible for the introduction and follow-up of various capacity building tools and techniques conduct comprehensive supervision and monitor the implementation of the program. In collaboration with the project staffs the advisor is responsible to organizes and facilitates various trainings for counterpart and project staff. She/he facilitates and follow-up with proper monitoring of capacity building activities provided and document outputs and outcomes of the capacity building efforts.
She/he is responsible to provide advice, TA and guidance to program staffs and partners as well as other related health projects within the health sector of CARE Ethiopia. The advisor will report directly to the SRH and nutrition program coordinator and will work closely with other technical advisors and program staffs to ensure program quality and impact.

QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
5 years with BSC/BA and 4 years with MSC of work experience in at least one of the following areas:
