Dimensions of Role:
Budget: Raises and also manages up to 10 million USD per year from diversified donors. No. of direct reports: This is supervisory position. Post holder will directly line manage all Emergency Response Project Coordinators and also Single Project Managers. Communication: Liaises with government ministries, offices and bureaus at federal and regional levels and also with UN agencies, NGOs and other civic organizations. Risk Management: Has responsibility to comply individually with organizational and statutory policies and laws on People and Culture legality matters and also has responsibility to support the Unit in ensuring compliance of the Unit’s activities on matters related to child protection, education, livelihood, WASH and other relevant thematic areas in the context of emergencies and disasters. External Representation: Represents Plan Ethiopia in humanitarian coordination meetings, taskforces, clusters and technical working groups as appropriate. Reach/Breadth of the post: Country wide
To be successful, you need to have Preferred BA degree in business administration, public management/administration, development studies, development economics and other related fields
At least 5 years of progressive experience in similar organizations at senior management level with responsibilities including line management of senior staff Extensive experience in managing humanitarian projects/programmes with focus on operational aspects including logistics management Experience of managing projects for major donors and experience of working with international NGO, UN or donor agencies. Proven management experience in similar organizations with humanitarian focus. Experience in running an emergency response operations.
