SOS Children’s village Ethiopia a member Association to SOS Children’s Village International started to work in Ethiopia in 1974. Since its establishment in Ethiopia, it has been providing care, health and education services to most vulnerable children through Alternative Child Care programs. On top of the Alternative Child Care programs, SOS is also working to address capacity needs and improve the livelihood of impoverished family in a more sustainable manner through its Family and Community Development Program.
In 2015 the organization has launched a three year (2015-2017) disability project with the objective of: Increasing the accessibility of services and facilities to Children and families/caregivers with disabilities in Ethiopia. The overall objective of the project is to increasing the accessibility of SOSCVs, Schools and Medical centers to children with disabilities and raising awareness among the community on the rights of persons with disabilities.
SOS Children’s Village wants to invite national potential consultants to conduct year end evaluation of disability project. The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the progress made towards achievement of the overall and specific objectives of the project and impact on the lives of individuals, families, communities and partners involved in the implementation of the interventions. It will also identify the intended and unintended outcomes, best practices, lessons learned as well as challenges arising from project execution. In addition, the evaluation will come up with conclusions and recommendations for learning and future intervention.
