The primary goal of project is to support strengthening the national routine immunization program through support on advocacy and communication, generating demand for vaccines, improving vaccination coverage, optimizing vaccine impact, new vaccine introduction, improving data management, and improving equity of access to immunization services to reduce illnesses and deaths from vaccine-preventable diseases. The Regional coordinator will be seconded to Afar regional health bureau based in Semera, Ethiopia.
PATH seeks to recruit a Regional Project Coordinator for Immunization who will work as part of a Technical Support Team, and will provide technical assistance to Afar Regional Immunization team, Lead the facilitation of advocacy workshop for the leaders in the project districts, including the regional social mobilization committees, Ensure effective documentation. Document best practices and lessons drawn by the initiative in the implementation district, overseeing the implementation of the project at specific districts and supervise project staffs in the region. The Regional Project Coordinator will be based in Semera. S/he should be fluent in Afar language.
