The Fred Hollows Foundation, an international NGO founded in 1992 has been a driving force in the development and implementation of blindness prevention programs in some of the poorest and most isolated regions in the world. Currently operating in 25 countries throughout Africa, South Asia and South East Asia, The Foundation is working to end avoidable blindness. Our Ethiopia program and the ‘Stronger SAFE’ research program is focused on trachoma elimination.
In order to help us achieve our vision, we are currently looking for a Stronger SAFE Laboratory Technologist to be based at the ORHB Laboratory in Adama. The Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for conducting all the diagnostic laboratory work related to the Stronger SAFE research program in Oromia, Ethiopia.
To be successful in this position, you will have to complete BSc or equivalent diploma studies in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution and have at least three years laboratory technical experience and current or recent (within the last three years) bench experience in research or clinical diagnostics.
