Position title: Manager, Grain Quality Control
Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Reports To: Chief Quality Operation Officer
JOB PURPOSE
Grain Quality Control Manager, Quality Operations Unit. Ensure the Grain Quality assurance policies, commodity contracts specifications and standards are strictly followed and implemented. Develop new standards and contract specifications as required by the Exchange. Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Grain Quality under its unit. Devise plans and ensure the implementation of the work plans.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize, direct and control activities of the Unit; Develop and Implement the annual plan that includes management’s concern; is aligned to the strategic plan of the Exchange;
· MSc/BSc in General Agricultural/Plant Science/Horticulture/Crop Science or related fields with 6/8 years of work experience in relevant field.
Job Knowledge
· Have knowledge of national and international standards and specification on agricultural commodities;
· Knowledge and ability to create and review technical documentations, including test procedures and design documents;
· Completed special training and knowledge on Grain quality control & inspection;
· Knowledge on agricultural commodity quality management system, standards and specification;
· Knowledge grain Quality Operation Manual;
· Strong knowledge on quality management system.
Required skill
· Excellent leadership, planning, time management & prioritizing, organization and decision making skills;
· Ability to motivate staff and build teams;
· Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills;
