II. Organization Overview
Amref Health Africa is the largest African-led international health development organization headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded nearly 60 years ago as the Flying Doctors of East Africa, has been serving to bring critical health services to remote communities. Amref Health Africa has been active in Ethiopia since the 1960’s. The organization became fully operational and registered in the country as an international NGO in 2002, and actively engaged in RMNCAH, WASH, communicable and non-communicable diseases, emergency programs with gender and health system strengthening as cross cutting throughout its projects and programs.
III. Job Objective
Process documentation in the procurement chain for Amref health African goods and servies.
IV. Key Responsibilities
Ø Collects proforma and proposals as per the RFQ
Ø Assist the procurement officer in typing and electronic computation
Ø Carry out analysis of quotations and prepare relevant reports.
Ø Type out purchase orders.
Ø Follow up with suppliers on the sourcing and delivery process to ensure timely and accurate supplies.
Ø Manage the receiving and disbursing of goods from the store as well as management of stock in the store.
Ø Drive the assigned vehicle with at most care and with full respect to the traffic rules and regulations as well as Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia vehicle policy and procedures manual.
Ø Follow up purchasing process by liaising with the selected supplier as per the procurement procedures
Ø Follow up and confirm to procurement team delivery of the approved goods per purchase order.
Ø Ensure all documentation of goods receiving notes (GRN) is issued by storekeeper and hand over the complete document to procurement team for documentation.
Ø Prepare reports as required by management.
Ø Coordinate clearing and forwarding with relevant agents.
Ø Answer to enquiries/inquiries.
Ø Any other duties as may be assigned.
V. Qualification requirement
§ Diploma in purchasing & supply Chain Management
§ At least three years working experience in purchasing and supplies management.
§ Demonstrated skill in multitasking, meeting deadlines and working under tight schedules
§ Ability to interact and deal with people patiently and politely
§ Excellent planning, coordinating, and facilitation skills
§ Excellent communication skills;
§ Very good computer skills;
§ 3rd grade driving license
Terms of employment: one year with possible extension
