Amref Health Africa (formerly African Medical Research Foundation) is the premier African-led international health development organization headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 1957 as the Flying Doctors of East Africa to bring critical health services to remote communities, Amref Health Africa in the intervening years has broadened its mission to include training of some 500 thousand community health workers and managing the design and implementation of health development projects in more than 30 countries across Africa. With a focus on women and children, Amref Health Africa strives to overcome the most critical health challenges facing the continent: maternal and child health, HIV & TB, malaria, clean water and sanitation and surgical and clinical outreach. Amref Health Africa has offices in Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, South Sudan, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda as well as in Europe and North America. The organization employs over 1,000 people.
Objective
The main purpose of this consultancy is to produce a 05 minute long documentary film which illustrates success stories/best practice of preparedness and early response to public health emergencies project in Gambella Region of Ethiopia.
Tasks and Responsibilities of the producer
· Conduct a desk review of relevant documents as provided in order to familiarize with project issue.
· Meet in person with Amref Health Africa Ethiopia and Gambella Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response project team and communication team for technical advice. Produce an elaborate script in close collaboration with Amref Health Africa and Gambella Public Health Emergency preparedness and response project.
· Prepare and share a detailed plan of action.
· Travel to project intervention woredas for filming and interviewing beneficiaries in their natural setting.
· Work with the Amref Health Africa‘s communication team to ensure Amref Health Africa’s and donor’s brand identity guidelines for logo, language use and related brand identity for comment.
· Organize material and produce a 5 minute documentary film.
· Share copy for an edition to project team and the communication to get approval for final packaging.
· Make necessary change after discussing with Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia project team and communication person
· Produce the final master copy of the documentary on CD, DVD &VCD for approval from Amref Health Africa.
· Use English sub-title during narration.
· Ensure that the shooting of the documentation film is of broadcast standard for use on website, TV transmission, and external as well as internal dissemination.
· Deliver the material in time as discussed and agreed with Amref Health Africca in Ethiopia.
The potential consultancy firm is required to meet the following minimum requirements in order to qualify for the submission of proposal.
· Registered and renewed license for the fiscal year
· VAT registration and Tin number registration
· CV with relevant experiences in filming documentaries and technical and financial proposals with clear and distinct financial breakdowns and reporting schedule.

· Potential consultants are invited to collect TOR for this documentary film production free of charge from our office or through email of amrefinethiopia@gmail.com until 23, 2017 and can submit the proposal till August 24, 2017.
· The proposal shall include financial and technical proposals sealed in separate envelopes and submitted to Procurement department in person
