The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) was established on the eve of Ethio-Italian war, on July, 8, 1935 and signed the Geneva Convention on July 25 of the same year and became 48th member of League of Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies on 25, September 1935. Since then the Society have engaged on providing Humanitarian services & community based development initiatives. Currently the ERCS has a structure consisting of 11 Regional Offices, 32 Zonal Branches and 112 District/Woreda Branches and 3673 grass root committees/Kebele Red Cross Committees.

Job Summary
Under the general direction & guidance of the Deputy Secretary General of Resource Development & Mobilization (DSG RDM), the manager of Business Development & Marketing Service Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls business development & marketing services; carries out market research; an overall internal and external environment scanning, SWOT analysis to assess customer needs, potential market, competitive operations, identifies gaps and proposes alternative remedial courses of action; prepares business development and marketing policy, strategy, procedures and guidelines aligned with the purpose/principles of the NS in participation with and in consideration of pertinent stakeholders and ensures enforcement of the same upon approval; drives increased revenue to achieve NS’s stretched objectives set in the strategic plan.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Terms of employment: - Permanent after probationary period.
Required Educational Qualification and Experience: -
Second degree in Management/Business Administration/ Marketing/ Economics or other relevant field of study and 7 years relevant work experience of which 2 years in a managerial position (s)
