Location: Oromia region, west Harerge Zone of Hawi Gudina and Burka Dimtu and Ethiopian Somali Region of Site Zone of Miesoo and Afdem Woreda
Responsibilities and Tasks
Define, coordinate, and monitor the Mobile medical activities under his/her responsibility according to National protocols, standards and procedures
Coordinating, assessing, and supervising the proper functioning of the mobile medical activities, according to national protocols, standards, and procedures, and through the correct complication and analysis of medical data regarding patients’ health conditions
Supervising and ensuring that mobile medical activities objectives under his/her responsibility are achieved
Checking all administrative procedures related to patients’ follow-up (individual card filling, registers, paper exit, discharge, transfers…) are carried out correctly and according to MCMDO and MoH procedures
Monitoring the rational use of medical equipment and medicines at the Mobile Health and nutrition and identifying any deviations from National and Regional guidelines or protocols
Coordinating and monitoring the daily working plan of the team under his/her responsibility (managing the roster, absent personnel, vacations, tracking leaves…). Participating in shifts and replaces a Health staff, if necessary.
Participating in the monthly and quarterly Woreda, Zonal and Regional level update and review meeting and responsible for reports according to tamp lets .
Job Requirement
Qualification: BSc/MSc
Experience: 5 years
Education and experience:
Health officer, BSc Nurse (MSc or BSc)
Full registration and practice license with Health officer
5 years minimum experience as a Health officer or in clinical work, experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, neonatology, adult and under five children both OPD and inpatient is desirable
Previous management experience desirable
Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
Strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian objectives
Highly motivated, flexibility, quick learning and team working;
Fluent in spoken and written English, Oromiffa for Oromia region and Somali for Ethiopian Somali region is more preferable
