Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Child Protection in Emergency Specialist to be based at Gambella.
The Role
The Gender coordinator is responsible for the functionality of GESA findings and implementation of Gender Action Plan of PIE. Developing mainstreaming guidelines/strategies to all elements of CSP and monitor the effective application of the guideline are the main task of the position holder. S/he is in charge of staff capacity building on gender equality and mainstreaming at various levels. The position holder is also responsible for the gender issues and person with disabilities are included in all proposal developments and represent Plan in the regional and global Networks of Gender Equality and Person with Disability.
To be successful, applicants need to have Bachelor degree in Gender studies, social work and other related social science, and substantial experience (minimum of 5 years) in gender and development programmes/projects. Good knowledge on Gender Mainstreaming, budgeting, analysis. Experience in gender programs and experience at community level projects. Experience in gender advocacy and networking. Experience in designing & facilitating training. Experience in participatory methodologies. Knowledge of current international development trends and thinking on programme effectiveness and in Child Rights programming
