General Assignment:
Responsible for the smooth and accurate running of the quantitative household survey, organization and supervision of the survey teams daily work.
Objective 1: Ensure the smooth and accurate running of the quantitative survey (Risk Factors surveys)
- Ensure that protocols are strictly followed and implemented
- Ensure that the objectives of the survey are reached
- Ensure the smooth-running of the survey under any expected
Circumstances.
- Manage cluster and household selection procedures
- Ensure that each equipment is maintained in a good state
-Draw map of the area of the survey and use random number table
- Organise logistics in the field (random sampling in each cluster) and organise logistics of field officers.
- Ensure the quality of the data collected by field officers.
- Check all questionnaires for completeness before leaving each cluster. - -- Report daily to the NCA RFS PM.
- Ensure that households with missing data are revisited before leaving the cluster the same day
Objective 2: Manage survey teams
-Supervising team’s daily work. (Work performance/ working time/breaks/lunch)
- Propose solution to solve any problem faced and report them to
the direct supervisor;
- Ensure good communication within the team
- Ensure the respect of the protocol in the site’s activities
- Report back to the team and NCA RFS PM each evening on number of questionnaires completed.
- Follow absences, late coming and/ or leaves and report them to
the programme manager
- Elaborate the team’s work schedule;
- Ensure technical support to the team.
- Ensure security of team members
Objective 3: Reporting to the NCA PM
Activities:
- Collect, check for quality and deliver completed household questionnaires to the NCA PM each evening.
- Provide daily reports to the NCA RFS PM.
- Report to the NCA RFS PM on any problems encountered in the running of the survey and within the team.
Educational / Professional Background:
University Diploma and 2 years of similar experience.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of nutrition, experience in nutrition program
- Excellent knowledge of English and Anuak
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in undertaking and supervising household surveys
- Capacity to manage priorities
- Report writing
- Knowledge of the Anuak society and culture is a plus
