JSI currently seeks dynamic and highly experienced candidates for multiple positions for a USAID-funded HIV Key and Priority Populations Project in Ethiopia. The project will focus on identifying key and priority populations and providing HIV prevention and treatment services and linking with community- and facility-based HIV services across the clinical cascade. Should JSI be the successful bidder, this will be a full-time position based in Ethiopia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountable to the COP and work closely with the DCOP, MEL Specialists and Technical Advisers;
Communicate technical strategies to regional staff and to sub-grantees;
Manage a team of technical area experts and ensure quality, timeliness and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the project.
Master’s Degree in public health and a background in medicine are preferred;
At least 8 years senior level experience in designing, implementing, managing and providing technical guidance in HIV prevention, care and treatment initiatives to build a comprehensive community based HIV and AIDS prevention and treatment program and to strengthen systems and processes for ensuing the care and protection of key and priority populations are required;
Experience in providing technical leadership/support to Ministry of Health, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Office, partners and other stakeholders;
Experience with quality assurance and quality improvement of community based behavioral interventions and clinical interventions is required;
Experience in engaging representatives of the host country government, civil society organizations, international development organizations and NGOs to support project implementation is highly desirable;
Demonstrated interpersonal communication and facilitation skills, writing and oral presentation skills in English with the ability to lead high-level meetings, forums, and conferences are required.
