ABOUT US
GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses - working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs including child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond to emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia. This programme has grown substantially over the years, and is now multi-donor and multi-sectorial, with interventions throughout Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Roving Finance Officer to join the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time of growth and change. You’ll be ensuring that all GOAL logistics policies and procedures are properly and adequately understood and implemented across GOAL Ethiopia.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Roving Finance Officer and will be responsible for monitoring all financial records relating to the rural urban development programmes in the Field, and for ensuring that all financial procedures are followed in accordance with GOAL Ethiopia’s financial guidelines and legal obligations placed by Ethiopian law and donor agreements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience/familiarity with OFDA/USAID, ECHO and other large International donor requirements;
Willing to undertake extensive travel and willing to remain out of Addis for quite extended field trip arrangements;
Ability to work independently;
Keen to take initiative where appropriate;
High level of detail and accuracy;
Very good English both verbal and written;
Internationally recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, etc.) is preferable.
Very good training and coaching capacity and experience; experience in supervising and guiding staff;
Excellent planning and organizing skills;
Computer proficiency (Ms-Office Sensitive to cross cutting issues like gender, accountably, child protection and HIV/AIDS.

Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: Birr 15,105.00 per month
Pension: (11% from employer and 7% from employee)
Transportation Allowance: 10% of monthly salary
Taxi fare: 300 birr per month
Medical Allowance: Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
