Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1. | Main Tasks | |
| · Project Management of joint defined emergency, relief, rehabilitation project portfolio of partner organizations in Ethiopia |
|
| · Communication with respective partners about program implementation and management of the project. |
|
| · Accompaniment of project partners, including, assessments, consulting, evaluating, and impact monitoring together with the regional competence team |
|
| · Networking and cooperation with strategic, development and project partners in the Ethiopia including the ACT Alliance partners. |
|
| · Team working in cooperation with implementations of activities of the Horn of Africa Regional Office Competence Team. |
|
2. | Specific Tasks and Routines: | |
| Project Management · Reviews and assesses project proposals including conceptual, methodological, operational, evaluative, and financial aspects. · Prepares written summaries and analysis project applications. · Enters information into database and monitor its process towards approval. · Makes site visits as necessary and appropriate. · Assists partners throughout the project/program cycle – (design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs). · Ensures the accuracy of partner budgets, budget revisions and assess their conformity with organizational requirements, · Appraises partner’s project narrative and financial reports on a regular basis, · Coordinates semi-annual and final reports, mid-term and terminal evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications
BA Degree in agriculture, social science, political science or related field
Communication
· Serves as the organization's principal contact with partners in his/her portfolio,
Establishes good record of contacts with partners
Accompaniment · Shows passion for walking and working alongside partners, · Interacts with a wide range of domestic and international partners, · Demonstrates special insight, vision and compassion for empowering and working with especially marginalized communities. |
Networking · Specializes in at least one of the focus areas of organization (emergency response, early recovery, relief and rehabilitation and Disaster Risk Reduction), · Connects with relevant academic and issue based networks, · Constantly updates himself/ herself on issues related to his/her job and important to the organization by literature review, contact with social and professional communities, and participating in relevant conferences. |
