Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, SLO Addis Ababa and the direct supervision of Project Manager, the incumbent will facilitate the implementation and monitoring and reporting of the EU funded project, “Facility on sustainable and dignified Return and Reintegration in support of the Khartoum Process” in Ethiopia. To this end he/she will be responsible for project planning, implementation, data management, analysis, reporting and documentation of the project.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will specifically undertake:
1. Working with the Project Manager, assist in the implementation of the project including but not limited to preparing, organizing, coordinating, implementing and following up on the project activities;
2. Coordinate with other IOM missions worldwide in organizing reintegration assistance to Ethiopian migrants abroad and willing to return to Ethiopia;
3. Assist in setting up and follow of up business plans implementation and monitoring return and reintegration programmes. Conduct individual one-on-one and group consultations with clients after arrival to assist them with business setup;
4. Arrange logistical and operational activities/preparations needed for movements by returnees in coordination with the respective units;
5. Update reintegration procedures, forms and database and support the collection, entry and preparation of AVRR data in coordination with the RF and AVRR teams;
6. Participate in the design and implementation of a common Case File Management System;
7. Contribute to the implementing of initiatives aimed at promoting the RF project visibility and overall return and reintegration activities in Ethiopia;
8. Update reporting and monitoring tools to keep track of project activities and ensure that all relevant documentation is produced and made available upon request;
9. Organise and coordinate training's , meetings with the Coordination Unit and Regional Offices;
10. Liaise and coordinate with national and international, governmental and non-governmental partners and counterparts relevant for the implementation of the project activities;
11. Undertake duty travel related to project implementation; and
12. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
