Context and Scope of the Position
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, SLO Addis Ababa and the direct supervision of the designated IOM Ethiopia EUTF funded Project Manager, the incumbent will be assist in the provision of return and reintegration assistance to returnees and their families under the EU funded project, “Facility on sustainable and dignified Return and Reintegration in support of the Khartoum Process” in Ethiopia.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will specifically undertake:
1. Work with the Project Manager to support the overall timely and effective implementation and monitoring of the project in target communities;
2. In collaboration with other project staff and counterparts, provide technical and administrative support to ensure sustainable reintegration of returning migrants;
3. Conduct research and assessment work to identify opportunities, resources, assets and approaches for sustainable reintegration;
4. Support maintenance of relationships with community-based governmental and non-governmental stakeholders;
5. Verify that community-based reintegration activities adhere to Government of Ethiopia guidelines, IOM Standard Operating Procedures and international standards;
6. Assist in the monitoring of returnees reintegrating activities, coordination with local government and civil society as well as assist in facilitating the reintegration capacity building training to government officials and other implementing partners;
7. Provide inputs for the drafting of reports and other related documents through providing data and information to the project manager;
8. Support activities related to outreach, communicating with communities, and public information;
9. Perform such other tasks as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Professional Experience
· Seven years of relevant professional experience for degree holders and Five years for Masters holders.
Languages
· Fluency in English and Amharic is required. Knowledge on other local languages is advantageous.

In all cases, a prerequisite for taking up the position is legal residency in the country of the duty station, or in the neighbouring country located within commuting distance, and work permit, as applicable.
