Definition of a volunteer
Oxfam volunteers are individuals who freely contribute their time and skills towards Oxfam’s goal of overcoming poverty and suffering. Volunteers are not employees of Oxfam GB and do not receive any form of payment, although out of pocket expenses are reimbursed
Purpose of volunteering opportunity
Oxfam believes to offer opportunity to the fresh/less experienced graduates to get scope in professional field and hands on exposure that will add value in their career advancement. In this connection and to have additional hand support Oxfam is looking to have administrative support in order to ensure quality and sufficiency of day to admin work, opportunity has been opened for Volunteer in Logistics Team.
Key tasks
§ Assist Logistics team on regular monitoring and supervision of different service activities.
§ Supervise the labours and accomplish day to day service related work (electrical/ plumbing/ civil etc)
§ Do assessment and data collection in relation to market assessment.
§ update the regular status to Line manager accordingly to take the next action as per requirement.
§ Arrange for the repair and maintenance of office equipment. Communicate carpenter, plumber, electrician, and other services as per requirement
§ To Deliver & collect letter, documents, quotations etc and provide other necessary support as per requirement.
§ Assist logistics team on documentation and archiving.
§ Assist in data entry for any analysis in any kind of office applications.
§ Provide required support in arranging different meeting/workshop etc.
§ Assist in small cash purchase and quotation collection from different suppliers.
§ Communicate different outsource companies when it is required.
§ Support the warehouse team on organizing the stocks and any maintenance of warehouse.
§ Provide backup support in absence of any logistics staffs.
§ Ready to deploy to field locations for any argent need.
§ Perform different tasks required and assigned by line manager.
