We also supported the implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene promotion (WASH) in two districts (known locally as woredas) in Hadiya Zone, Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region (SNNPR), Ethiopia, that benefited 44,154 people to gain access to safe water and 66,680 with sanitation (including school users) which is implemented by Water Aid. Furthermore, we also invested on a project that provides clean water to 2,000 households in Sebeta through a borehole that the community is independently managing. Top Accountabilities
Own the Lean Logistics programme implementation and adherence in Customer Services department.
Co-ordinate and lead logistic EISC.
Co-ordinate and lead adherence to safety, SAP and Compliance standards in Customer Service team operations including 3rd party operations and performance.
Ensure SAP standard are running and sustained with in Logistics /CS department as per the SAP WOW.
Communicate the product collection plan to distributors (product collection schedule) and follow up to ensure execution - OTIFNE
Work with S& OP manager in the revision of the product collection schedule and responsible for maintaining, tracking and analyzing all inbound shipments, including the rental truck providers.
Ensure that Compliance is 100% in customer service and each area is operating in complaint manner. Where there is a gap; suggest a corrective action to mitigate the compliance risks.
Responsible for logistics budget center; maintaining cost analysis reports, and identify logistics areas for process improvement and cost savings to ensure expectations are met.
Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and for the tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of all movements. Prepare performance reports based on the KPI’s and standards seated for each of the warehouse personnel
Managing all RTC related projects from supply perspective.
Job Requirement
Must possess substantial hands on managerial experience in physical distribution and/or transportation with exposure to complex team management issues.
A Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain / Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or a related area or equivalent.
3 years related experience is essential for this role
Strong history with proven process re-engineering and operational improvement and a logic orientated mindset.
Good commercial understanding must be able to demonstrate P&L literacy.
Strong numerical skills, a high level of computer literacy and previous experience of financial/data are important. (Advanced work and excel skills)
Previous experience of effective working relationships cross-functionally
Ability to interact in a team environment with a customer-focused approach and aptitude for continuous improvement serving internal and external customers.
Must possess strong analytical problem solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
Ability to apply principles of logic to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Must have experience in progressing the capability of others i.e moving from a manual system to electronic
Results oriented, metrics driven leader with a root cause, permanent fix approach, continuous improvement approach.
Fluent in Amharic and a strong commend of written and spoken English.
