Position Summary:
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Checking for vital signs (PR, BP temperature and RR);
B. Preparing patient chart (order sheet, History sheet, medication sheet nurse sheet and pantograph and attach to the card;
A. You are responsible for documenting all deliveries conducted in the unit and updating nursing report, keeping track of medical supplies; equipment’s and medications;
B. If situation arise you are responsible to conduct delivery;
C. The midwife can conduct vacuum delivery (but the physician should always supervise the midwife.);
Note: The gynecologist should be present if vacuum delivery is needed but you may conduct assisted breech delivery if needed;
A. Clipping/Shaving,
B. Catheterization if needed,
C. Making sure laboratory investigation is updated before taking patient to the OR,
D. Secure IV line,
E. Administer prophylactic antibiotics based on protocol,
F. Facilitate transfer of patient to OR,
G.Receive babies born by C/S and gives immediate neonatal care and informs the obstetrician and pediatrician if needed,
