Position summary
Contributing to the national goal of empowering children, women and youth, with a particular focus on the Welfare of most vulnerable children in the fiscal year 2018 to 2021 is the goal of the project towards which the incumbent will be working. The Livelihood Officer is responsible for guiding and supporting the development with individual families participating in the project. This involves directly assessing the family situation of potential child participants and facilitating the development of a family’s first family development plan (FDP).The officer will be responsible for the implementation of sustainable livelihood project in Tulu Moye/Hetosa District particularly focusing on livelihoods, employment opportunities, strengthening of SACCOs and CBOs. He/she will be responsible to deliver VSLA discussion series, promote formal/informal financial services, provide Entrepreneurship Education trainings, support enterprise development, monitor and follow up the timely implementation of livelihoods activities in line with project indicators. The officer must also play a strong role in supporting SACCOs in establishing a standard accounting and reporting system and improving their operational and management capacities.
