Lifewater International is a not-for-profit development organization incorporated in California, USA, in 1984, which believes all people should have safe water for life. Lifewater International has been working in the developing countries in Latin America, Central Asia and Africa including Ethiopia. Lifewater International has been funding number of projects to address safe water supply and sanitation and hygiene facilities in the Oromia and Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples Regional governments through its local partners since 2004. In 2011, Lifewater was registered by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Charities and Societies Agency as international non-governmental organization with license number 2724. Lifewater International has best practices gained in the Oromia region over the last 5 years and in SNNPR since 2016 that can yield sustainable Water supply, sanitation and hygiene practices in communities and schools. Job Summary
As part of the Vision of a Healthy Village (VHV) program, support the WASH Technician in hardware and water committee implementation and monitoring in primary schools and villages. This includes regular monitoring of water committees and hardware (water sources and school latrines), monitoring & oversight of ongoing construction, and supporting the WASH Technician in daily activities. All monitoring will use AKVO forms.
