To properly receive, maintain, and issues spare parts and consumables; request purchase, keep records, manage inventory of spare parts and consumables to realize smooth running of company production/operation.
· Receives incoming spare parts and consumables using receiving voucher and ensure they are in good conditions, their quantity and quality is according to purchase order and specification.
· Promptly reports damages and discrepancies on orders received.
· Issues spare parts and consumables using issuing voucher as per established procedures.
· Keeps proper record of each item received, issued and at hand using bin cards and as per Company procedures.
· Identifies discrepancies between inventory records (Bin cards) and physical counts; take appropriate action to rectify discrepancies.
· Organizes the proper storage of materials in the store; places goods in the warehouse per set standards and procedures.
· Ensures materials are safely kept in store, no damage, pilferage and loss of quality results in the process.
· Initiates purchase order by issuing purchase requisition for materials when reorder levels of stock is low and for which recurring ordering level has been established.
· Applies proper coding and numbering of spare parts for their early identification.
· Prepares and submits periodic activity report.
· Maintains and keep safe all store operation related documents; submit all used receipt and issue vouchers to Finance Department.
· Closely follows up and supervise loading /unloading workers to ensure maintenance of safety and quality of materials.
· Participates in periodic stock taking.
