To execute the Inventory Management strategies in such a way that Ahadukes has the right amount of stock to meet customer needs and overstocking of certain items are avoided to control costs and maximizing working capital.
· Manages and controls the Inventory control functions including /stock control to ensure raw materials and finished products are received, located, stored and transferred correctly and that the company’s stock inventory is accurate.
· Executes inventory control measures to ensure the optimum amount of stock is maintained and overstock or obsolete /redundant raw materials are avoided to maximize working capital.
· Conducts perpetual inventory/stock counting to ensure their accuracy; perform cyclic stock checks.
· Prepares and ensures the accuracy of documentation relating to inventory; records the quality, quantity, type, style and any other characteristic of goods that the organization holds in inventory.
· Ensures materials are ready and available for production as and when required.
· Minimizes overstocks and removal of obsolete/redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital.
· Closely works with the Production Team, and Sales Team to ensure that Ahadukes has adequate supply of stock during peak customer periods, such as during holidays.
· Ensures that any materials that are late or holding up production for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received.
· Closely works with the procurement team to ensure that sufficient raw material, spare parts, and other in-put materials are available for continuous and efficient production.
· Monitors and tracks the inventory flow to identify slow moving and dead stock.
· Ensures the integrity of the stock management systems to guard against pilferage, theft, fraud and other activities that adversely affect the organization’s operations.
· Produces daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
· Manages control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
· Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
· Closely work with HRD to coordinate hiring and training of reporting staff.
· Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the inventory management team.
· Prepares (and submits to Supply Chain Manager) periodic reports in relation to inventory management based on the guidelines indicated in the Production and Warehouse Management Manual
. First degree in Materials Management/ Accounting/ Logistics & Supplies Management/ Procurement & Supply Chain Management/ Supplies Management/ Procurement & Sales Management/ Management/ Business Administration or other relevant field of study with 2 years related experience.
