Position Title: HIV AIDS Care and Treatment Advisor –Seconded to FMOH
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Reports to: CTD Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide technical support in the coordination of National HIV care and treatment in order to adequately address the huge public health problem arising from HIV/AIDS.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:-
Under the overall supervision of FMOH DPCD, HIV prevention and control case team
Provides overall technical guidance and support to HIV/AIDS care and treatment
· Supports the Ministry of Health, Regional Health Bureaus and other stakeholders in building institutional capacity on HIV/AIDS care and treatment activities
· Supports coordination and preparation of National guidelines, training materials , job aids and patient communication tools
· Support the coordination and implementation of the National transition plan from the international partners to the government
· Assists the HIV prevention and control case team members in the activities related to care and treatment.
· Performs other relevant duties as required.

• University degree in medicine with master’s degree in Public Health or any health related field is essential;
• Training in epidemiology, infectious disease related course is desirable.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in public health particularly on management and control of HIV/AIDS
• Previous work experience in UN or other international Non-governmental organizations is advantageous;
• Excellent working knowledge of English
• Good working knowledge of the official language of the Country
• Demonstrable skills in IT including the use of epidemiological and statistical software
• Carry out any other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor.
