Universal Courier Services PLC (Deliver Addis) is our partner company that is engaged in a technology-enabled, online food delivery in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, launched in October 2015 and expanding into the burgeoning logistics and e-commerce industries in EthiopiaMarketing – Communicating our service to our customer base while growing the customer base and increasing engagement with the brand
· Developing the formal marketing plan based on the goals set forth
· Creating content for media outlets and social media
· Identifying opportunities for creative marketing that can satisfy as many of the following objectives:
o Promotes the brand positively and drives user engagement
o Improves the user experience as well as operations performance
o Generates additional revenue
· Combining marketing with business vendors and partners to amplify the reach of our marketing efforts (e.g. in-store marketing, access to customers, etc.)
Business Development – Building relationships with external parties and guiding the development of new services
· Identifying upcoming opportunities related to the strategic direction of the company that could be easy to integrate into any existing services that are provided and will generate meaningful revenue.
· Establishing and maintaining relationships with partners and vendors
· Providing input into the strategic plan and advising other management on what customers are looking for and saying about existing services
· Assisting with training for other staff based on customer feedback
· Proposing and executing on growth based on the strategic plan
Training – Learning from our experiences and the experiences of others to continuously improve on how we achieve our mission
· Work alongside a formal marketing company to advise and help develop the marketing plan that this role will be responsible for executing.
· Review performance on monthly basis to get lessons learned, and devise approaches to engaging with difficult vendors and customers.
Skills Requirement:
Good oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, initiative and the ability to work as part of a team. The ability to lead brand beyond marketing and influence executive decision.
Qualifications:
Based on our experience, we believe candidates with the following qualifications are likely to be most successful:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent
· 5+ years of work experience
· Expert-level sales and marketing skills
· Experience in the technology-based companies
· Demonstrated ability to write and speak English is mandatory.
