Major Responsibilities
Budget and operating plan preparations
Assists the Accounts manager in the preparation and consolidation of fiscal year budget and operating fund and follow up proper implementation
Perform maintenance of an updated and well-kept accounting books and records of operating fund
Performs bank reconciliation for each accounts of the branches and coordinate with other staffs to resolve promptly all pending reconciling items
Ensures the completeness of supporting documents for all of the recorded transactions from the branches accounting records
Ensures reconciliation of inter branches payable and uble to cross check transferred balances from branches are properly deposited to central account.
Reconciles weekly transfer tracked by branch and post to individual branch operating fund account.
Ensure month end posting of each Area’s cost should performed timely & accuratly;
Perform necessary transactional treatment of supplies stock management (posted as prepaid supplies & consumption is monthly calculated and posted as month end transaction.
Prepare and assist for both internal and external audits
Provides assistance in any audit or examination to be conducted by the external or internal auditors and as well as other parties duly authorized by the Institution or the General Manager to conduct such activity;
Maintain sufficient control systems
Maintains any projects demanding separate treatment of documentation accordingly;
Maintainance of separate record for perdiem payment for individual staff and facilitate the calculation of per diem tax payment;
Treate child saving withdrawals prepared and paid at HO.
Reporting
Produce and submits accurate, complete and timely his/her monthly activity report.
Qualification and Technical Skill Required
Bachelor degree or diploma in accounting is required
Chartered accountant is an added advantage.
2 years of experience for bachelor degree or 4 years experience for diploma in related positions.
Determined personality with initiative, perseverance.
Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of integrity
Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization Ideals and Core Values
Be proficient in Microsoft office, GI and use of Excel spreadsheets
Highly developed sense of reliability and accuracy
Very good communication skills
