Objective: The purpose of the Initiative Manager position is to provide overall leadership and coordination for ensuring the implementation and accomplishment of the objectives of this specific Gender and Family Planning Project/RESET Plus under his/her responsibility in line with CARE’s vision, goals, and program principles, standards, approaches and Long Range Strategic Plan. In consultation with the supervisor, Advisors and in collaboration with the project staffs and partners she/he develops annual implementation plans and budget, allocates appropriate resources to accomplish the plan and ensures that an appropriate monitoring system is in place to track progress and deviations of project implementation. He/she establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key partners in the project including the prime organization and partner implementing organizations; government partners and NGOs working in the same geographic areas.

Qualifications (Knowledge and Experience)
A) Education/Training: Bachelor degree in Gender Study, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
B) Experience: 5-6 years experience working on Gender and public health, out of which 2-3 years’ service in managerial level. Experience in development oriented NGO environment and/or on Sexual Reproductive health and Nutrition initiatives is desirable.
