Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is a world renown global center of excellence in the provision of treatment of obstetric fistula delivering holistic care with rehabilitation and prevention of child birth injuries. It works in partnershipwith many global partners from many countries. HFE cares exclusively for patients with obstetric fistula and accepts patients who come on their own as well as referred by other health institutions. Women who come to Hamlin centers have often multiple injuries and are marginalized. They usually need holistic care which includes surgical treatment, counseling and psychotherapy as they regain back their dignity. HFE is renown for its compassionate care to patients which is valued and central for all stakeholders and expected to be a governing value. Employees are expected to display this value which should be underpinned by behavioral standards at all times. Scope of the role
The role of Deputy Chief Executive (DCEO) has been created specifically to lead and secure HFE’s operational and programmatic delivery and help the strategy implementation with the Senior Management Team. The role will have the responsibility and authority to support the development and transformation of HFE towards operational excellence of its programs to support the delivery of service and ensure the standards and meet the targets. This is to be done through placement of performance framework to improve effectiveness. The DCEO will act as a role model for HFE’s values providing leadership with recognition of the need for influence to establish working relationship across the HFE both internally and externally.
