GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of multi-sectoral development, resiliency and humanitarian responses. GOAL Ethiopia is currently working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders and responds to humanitarian crises in Ethiopia by working closely with local communities, local government and other key actors with a strong emphasis on resiliency, preparedness and longer term impacts. GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID, OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid and UNOCHA.
.ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, highly motivated and experienced Assistant Safety and Security and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team. You will be joining the organisation at a moving time of growth. The Assistant Safety and Security will be responsible ensuring the security of GOAL Ethiopia staff, offices and Guest Houses including property and vehicle safety and movement policies. S/he also responsible for maintaining and providing updated and correct information relating to GOAL Ethiopia staff and operations is collated and to develop and enforce security guidelines within GOAL Ethiopia.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Safety and Security who is capable of overall responsibility for the internal Security / Safety guidelines and procedures of GOAL Ethiopia. Collaborates with a variety of internal and external parties (e.g co-workers, users, state and/or federal agencies, etc.) for the purpose of providing and/or receiving information and ensuring project success, Gather safety and security related information, compile and report to senior security officer and store the data to be retrieved when needed.
Requirements (educational, experience, language, etc.)
· Minimum Diploma in computer science, GIS, statistics or related fields with a minimum of 4years related experience
· Experience liaising with government bodies, UN agencies and other NGOs.

· Ability to collect from various sources and disseminate information related with security issues.
· Capacity to complete thorough security related investigations and finalize reports.
· Excellent liaison, communication and facilitation skill.
· Team oriented, flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.
· Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,
· Capable of working with an international country team.
· Ability and willingness to travel to locations outside Addis Ababa and live in sometimes-basic conditions.
· Very Good computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word Excel and Database.
· Very good skill in graphing software and writing brief report in different format.
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences: (list of qualities that are considered desirable for the specific post):
· Prior experience in NGO, UN Agencies in related field, Government office.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary Birr - 12,312.00/month
Transportation Allowance - 10% of monthly salary.
Taxi fare Allowance - 300 birr per month.
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
Pension - as per the government pension scheme (11% from the employer and 7% from the
employee).
