Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Area Manager, the program coordinator will be accountable to project planning, monitoring and evaluation and strategy implementation through performance management according to the memorandum of understanding reached between the Area Manager and himself/herself. He/ She works closely with the Area Managers/Finance & Adimn Service coordinator, work units to ensure harmonization of implementation efforts. He/ She ensures timely and cost- effective program implementation and reporting activities
II) Summary of Key Function/Results Expected
· Plans, organizes and co-ordinates the program activities of the Area Office;
· Initiates policy and technical guidelines with respect to the services in the Area Office;
Coordinates and works with other Work Areas to ensure that the Strategic Framework/Plan
is established, implemented and maintained effectively and efficiently in a cooperative and
team work sprite;
· Prepares relevant reports for the Area Manager to undertake periodic management reviews
on the effectiveness of the annual plan;
· Initiates corrective and preventive actions on the identified actual and potential non conformity to strategic objectives;
· Consults the Area Manager on matters relevant to research and planning;
· Consolidates reports submitted by the work Areas and presents to the Area Manager with
suggestions;
· Designs and submits proposals to the Area Manager;
· Suggests new SRH services strategies and attempts to integrate them with other
development programs of the Area Office;
· Ensures that standards set for all. program implementation are met/kept;
Evaluates and replicates pilot and feasible projects as appropriate;
Participates in the research activities of the Area Office;
· Performs any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Area Manager;

(IV) Qualification: MPH/MA/MSC/ BSC/ BA in Public Health, Developmental Studies, Demography, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing,
(V) Work Experience : 4 year for MA /MPH/MA/MSC/ & 6 year for BA/BSC years of relevant experience.
