About the Organization:
VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country.
VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for the position of Senior Procurement & Logistics Officer. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
1. Major Responsibilities:
§ Plans and schedules the procurement of materials and services requested by the various work units of the Company;
§ Places procurement orders, follows shipment, forwarding and clearance and ascertain availability of transport for delivery to users.
§ Ensures that tendering procedures governing the purchase of professional services and procurement of stock and property are adhered to.
§ Ensures timely delivery of procurement orders; follows shipment, forwarding and clearance and ascertains availability of transport for delivery to users;
§ Ensures that tendering procedures governing the purchase of professional services and procurement of stock and property are adhered to;
§ Ensures that the all supplies purchased/donated are received by Goods Receiving Note, are properly handled, and issued by Store Issue Voucher upon requests;
§ Organizes and supervises the overall activity of the store;
§ Ensures that the all supplies purchased/donated are received by Goods Receiving Note, are properly handled, and issued by Store Issue Voucher upon requests.
§ Ensures vehicle utilization as per VF- MFI policies and procedures and pursues timely vehicle repair and maintenance;
§ Authorizes requests for fuel, oil and lubricants and other supplies required to facilitate and carry out the transportation operations as per discretionary limits;
§ Ensures that regular reports on fuel consumption and other related expenses pertaining to vehicle are prepared;
§ Ensures that vehicles of the Company are maintained regularly and in good order and condition to facilitate effective transportation services;
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
§ BA Degree in Procurement & Supplies Management, Management, Business Administration or related
§ 5 years of relevant experience
· Integrated knowledge and understanding of support services concepts, practices, systems, and procedures;
· Ability to interact and deal with people;
· Planning, organizational, analytical and decision making skills;
· Basic computer skills;
· Good written and oral communication skills.
Terms of employment: Permanent
