Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in the recruitment of CP/GBV social workers and para-social workers
- Manage the team of CP/GBV/Para-social workers in the child/women safe space
- Provide technical guidance, on the job training, coaching and mentoring to para social workers on child protection and GBV minimum standards.
- Provide direct Psychosocial support to CP/GBV in children survivors and women friendly Safe Spaces
- Design and implement psychosocial activities, including individual and group counselling, parenting activities, etc.
- Develop adequate tools
- Facilitate community conversations and awareness raising activities using IEC and public events in collaboration with Woreda Women and Children Affairs on services provided by HI established children and women friendly inclusive safe spaces.
- Support the mainstreaming of child protection and psychosocial key messages and principles to humanitarian organization operational in the IDP camps.
- Participate in activity reporting and lessons learning
· Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology Child Development or other related field.
· Prior Team Management Experience
· Excellent knowledge of Child Protection and GBV minimum standards and basic principles.
· Good knowledge of GBV and Child Protection case management
· Excellent knowledge of psychosocial support basic principles and PSS key messages to vulnerable children and caregivers.
· Excellent knowledge of child and adult development and learning.
· Excellent knowledge of basic facilitation skills.
· Excellent knowledge of safe identification and referral principles.
