GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of multi-sectoral development, resiliency and humanitarian responses. GOAL Ethiopia is currently working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders and responds to humanitarian crises in Ethiopia by working closely with local communities, local government and other key actors with a strong emphasis on resiliency, preparedness and longer term impacts. GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID, OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid and UNOCHA.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced CMAM Nurse for its Humanitarian Response Programmes located at Gambella refugee programme with a dynamic, technically competent and motivated personality.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced with humanitarian works with Flexible and creative approach, highly motivated and able to take the initiative and work unsupervised fosters working in teams & team work spirit, you also be engaged into the overall management of the day to day activities. You will ensure that the MoH staff is capacitated to run the Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) programme independently in all health facilities.
· Bsc. degree or Diploma in nursing or related field with a minimum of two years’ experience in community outreach programmes, therapeutic and supplemental feeding or related fields.
· Ability to effectively liaise with local government’s organizations, NGOs and donors.
· Training and facilitation skill,
· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
· Continually looks to improve personal skill, knowledge and work hence contribute to capacity building within the team and organization,
· Very good knowledge and practice of computer application,
· Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
· Understanding of the Humanitarian response programme nature and willing to travel and live in field site, with frequent transfer from site to site.
· Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,
· Sensitive to Gender and cross-cutting issues.
Desirable requirements:
· Knowledge of local language will be advantageous· Familiarity to local culture
· Passionate, strongly dedicated and highly committed to work for the improvement of the local community
· Resilience: Maintains focus and intensity and remains optimistic, persistent and professional even under adverse, stressful or difficult situations
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: Birr 11,401.00 per month
Pension: (11% from employer and 7% from employee)
Transportation Allowance: 10% of monthly salary
Hardship Allowance: 50% of monthly salary.
Medical Allowance: Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
