Accountable For
Managing the operations of the company including production, supply chain, export and quality control
Meeting or exceeding the company’s budget targets for production
Meeting and improving strict quality and international food safety standards
Managing and developing staff, running effective weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with staff, management, and the board
Responsibilities and Tasks
To manage operations and production at a food processing company
To achieve KPIs including sales and cost targets, quality targets, service levels and delivery targets, customer satisfaction targets
To lead the operations and production team to ensure effective manufacture, purchasing and dispatch of all products to customers within specific standards and schedules required
To manage the operation and production team including recruitment, selection, training, development, performance management, and succession planning
To manage overall costs including equipment efficiencies, waste, direct labor, and materials
To manage production planning, forecasting, purchasing and stock control
To maintain and improve performance of the unit on a continuous basis including cost analysis, monitoring of processes and development of manuals and tools to improve efficiency
To work with investors and market expansion team to produce new products to meet required margins
To represent the company on a daily basis with all external/internal communication with domestic and international customers
To manage relationship with vendors and suppliers for buying ingredients and shipping products to various markets
To manage relationship with financial institutions about working capital and project finances
To work with the management team to develop and grow the business
To generate reports across KPIs and financial targets
To keep up to date with technologies and methods through research and attending trade shows
To visit suppliers and customers to ensure quality levels are met
Education and Experience
College degree in business administration, commerce, management, industrial technology or industrial engineering.
5+ industry relevant production experience
Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices
Knowledge of human resource principles and practices
Knowledge of project management principles and practices
Fluent in English speaking and writing
Information technology skills
