Amref Health Africa is an African-led international health development organization headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 1957 as the Flying Doctors of East Africa to bring critical health services to remote communities, Amref Health Africa envision to bringing lasting health change for Africain more than 30 countries across the continent. With a focus on women and children, the organization strives to overcome the most critical health challenges facing the continent: maternal and child health, HIV & TB, malaria, water and sanitation and health systems strengthening. Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia has been working in Ethiopia since 2002 in close collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health implementing a range of projects in maternal, neonatal and child health, reproductive health, health systems strengthening, health workforce development, water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS and non-communicable diseases across the country, supported by a wide range of multilateral and bilateral donors, corporates and foundations.
Amref Health Africa would like to recruit Assistant Store Keeper based in Addis Ababa, Country Office and will report to Admin Officer.
Overall Responsibility
Under the direct supervision of the Store Keeper, the Assistant Store Keeper is responsible to handle day-to-day operations of the store. S/He is also responsible to manage the store operations as per pertinent organizational policies, local government laws/requirements, HQ and major donors’ policies and procedures.
Specific duties and responsibilities
§ Assign/update shelving arrangement for easy and visible reference
§ Handle in/out movement of store items to/from the store as per the organization’s policy
§ Maintain Bin Cards, GRN, SIV, DN for every store transaction at all times
§ Assign codes and add new stock items into the inventory system
§ Support the Store Keeper in planning for loading/unloading and receipt/dispatch of goods to/from the store to field offices and external recipients
§ Support periodic and annual physical count
§ Update the inventory system upon reordering
§ Take necessary precaution to mitigate and eliminate any potential hazard and risk of injury in the stores
§ Maintain high standard of cleanliness in the stores
§ Coordinate monthly, bi-annual and annual stock take
§ Reconcile physical stock with stock/bin card
§ Prepare and submit stock reports
§ Maintain an accurate filing system of all transactions
§ Perform other related tasks as requested.
Essential Academic Qualification
· Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Management, or other related discipline
· Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
· Experience with international NGO is an asset
· Additional professional training in Store/Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, , etc. is a plus
