TechnoServe (TNS) is a non-profit international development organization founded in 1968. The Livelihood Improvement for Women and Youth (LIWAY) program is a multi-partner, pioneering poverty reduction program that aims to improve the incomes of 200,000 women and youth in greater Addis Ababa (Addis Ababa and surrounding areas).
As part of its LIWAY program, TechnoServe Ethiopia Country Office is inviting Consultants to conduct research on overall human resource practices at manufacturing sectors in Addis Ababa. The work includes reviewing and understanding the HR performance of medium and large manufacturing companies (e.g. food and beverage, textile and garment, chemical, etc.) and Grade 1-3 construction companies, with the purpose of identifying major labor related challenges and providing recommendations for improving the HR strategies of manufacturing companies within the greater Addis Ababa.
The firm should meet the following minimum requirements:
● Demonstrated experience on similar assignments, in particular relating to HR strategy
o Include concrete list of previous projects / manufacturing firm clients
o Include references from previous projects / manufacturing firm clients
● Strong understanding of Ethiopian manufacturing sector and HR management practices
● Very high level of written proficiency of English language and ability to communicate in local languages
● Legally registered consultancy firm with renewed license
● Gender-balanced proposed consultant team
● Consultant team with MA in Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields
