This is External Vacancy announcement rom Global Environmental and Occupational Health (GEOHealth) Hub for Research and Training in Eastern Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda)is a research and training platform established with grant support from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The project focuses on air pollution and health, occupational safety and health and climate change research. The School of Public Health at Addis Ababa University College of Health Sciences wants to hire, on contract basis, professionals in the Administrator for GEO Health Hub position.
Key Responsibilities of the Hub Administrator:
Required number: (1) one
Duration and condition of Employment: One year with possibility of extension for full five-year project period based on performance
Monthly Salary: Commensurate with experience starting at 12,000 ETB basic salary 1000.00 communication allowance and 1000.00 transport allowance subjected to tax based on Ethiopian tax regulation.
Working Hours: are governed by the employment law of Ethiopia. However the nature of the work is such that it might require working overtime and weekends, with due financial compensation.
Holidays: are governed by the rules of AAU for project workers.
Length of contract: This is a three year post subject to six monthly contract renewal.
