Agri Service Ethiopia (ASE) is a non-governmental Ethiopian Resident; not-for-profit development organization established in 1969 and is working in rural Ethiopia on integrated food security, value chain development, climate change and natural resource conservation and community empowerment programs.
Job Summary: The Climate Change Extension Expert (CCEE) leads the design, detailed implementation planning (DIP), and implementation of climate change and resilience interventions under the Livelihoods for Resilience project. In consultation with supervisors and in close collaboration with team members, the CCEE leads monitoring, evaluation and periodic reporting of assigned elements of Livelihood for Resilience’s climate change adaptation component, in line with ASE approaches and long-range strategic plan. The CCEE provides technical support for the development and implementation of climate smart technologies and innovations, strengthening of human and institutional capacity for climate change adaptation. S/he works with relevant PSNP implementing institutions to ensure those livelihoods implementations, and the livelihoods strategies adopted by households and communities in five woredas of Hadiya zones are climate resilient.
Description of Major roles and responsibilities
Education: MA/MSc or BA/BSc in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Scienceor related field
Experience: Minimum of 6 Years BSc/BA or 4 Years MSc/MA in related positions;
Personal Competency:
