In Ethiopia, GIZ has been working for more than 40 years in bilateral cooperation on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and on commission of the Ethiopian Government and International Donors. GIZ Energising Development Ethiopia is looking for a qualified candidate as per the detail below:
Position: Intern, Solar

Required no of Position: 1
Duration of the contract: 3 month with possibility of extension
Responsibilities:
The Intern will work in the regional office closely with the existing staff and will receive hands on work experience undertaking the following tasks:
· Assist the region advisor in site assessment and identification (Social Institution)
· TOR preparation, Revising technical documents and Compiling reports
· Assist the regional Advisor in Follow up procurement and contract administration
· Assist the regional Advisor in identification of potential service providers; collect business profiles and other relevant information as required, verify, compile group and classify
· Provide technical support in; revising Solar operation plan, follow up of the activities in accordance with the revised plans and other similar activities
Qualification and experience:
· Minimum of a BSc degree in Engineering; Electrical, Mechanical/Thermal, electro-mechanical Renewable Energy or any other related field;
· Any experience in the field of Solar PV systems or major course work related to Renewable energy engineering is of benefit
· Fluent in English and Oromiffa, both written and oral;
· Demonstrate able computer skills (MS Office, Engineering application software such as AutoCAD, renewable energy system analysis and optimization software), and others;
· Diligent, hardworking and showing high level of integrity
· Flexibility and willingness to learn and improve
