Project HOPE is currently recruiting a Deputy Director of Operations (DDO) for an upcoming project supporting health care services among refugee populations in Ethiopia. The geographic areas of focus are, refugee camps in Gambella, Tigraye and Ethiopian Somali regional states. Technical areas of interest include:
• Health (reproductive health and/or maternal and child health; assistance to elderly persons with specific needs; and/or to persons living with disabilities)
• Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
• Protection (child protection and/or GBV prevention and response)
The DDO will report to the Program Director and will be responsible for overseeing management and technical operations. The DDO will oversee the overall operations and ensure the smooth running of a complex, multi-layered project by managing systems, staff and building capacity that support the results of the project. As the DDO, s/he is also responsible for supporting the Program Director in the overall management of the project. In collaboration with the Program Director, s/he will maintain close liaison with PRM, Project HOPE offices, various line ministries and partners as needed. Additionally, s/he will coordinate and manage district implementation, grants/finance, operations, and management information functions of the project. S/he will lead the operations, finance and support services project team and be responsible for working with the country office for the financial and grants management, HR, administration, IT, logistics and procurement of the project.
The DDO will liaise closely with PRM, Government of Ethiopia, Project HOPE’s Headquarters and Country Office, as well as partner organizations.
