Trade Marketing Specialist purpose is to maximize the impact on turnover and profitability derived from the Marketing & Sales plans, within this segment, working on:
In-Store visibility: leading the merchandising (3rd party partner) for the whole organization in order to win the visibility and presence in the market place
In-Store promo support: leading price promo, displays, secondary placement, buy&get, consultants, etc., securing that brand strategy responds to promo strategy and vice versa
Analytics and efficiency control over the promo activity we have in all the channels. To secure the targeted level of profitability.
Building capability in category management, shopper marketing and consumer understanding.
Point of sales materials management (including budget, logistics, distribution, assortment…) by finding the most efficient solutions
International scope of the job
Key focus on Ethiopian markets
Multi-cultural environment with different levels of experience of peers (in the job or as part of Ontex)
Multiple own brands (Canbebe, Canped) to be brought into one coherent Trade Marketing strategy and some key
Trade Marketing strategy must be built through different routes to market, communication targets (users, influencers and buyers), and legislation.
Brand/marketing budget coordination: He/she would be responsible of the Trade Marketing budget where to coordinate and follow it up, looking for maximum efficiency and potential synergies
Product complexity: Different product groups (multiple SKU’s) produced in few different plants
Interaction with different divisions and company departments, typically: Marketing, Sales teams, Finance, Supply chain, Production
Interaction with Key customers: Training activities, brand communications,
Variety of External providers from different sectors

Job Requirement
Educational requirement
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Economics, or equivalent
Fluency in English
Experience requirement
At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position, with strong focus on direct to consumers marketing
Knowledge of the route to market in FMCG sector being a plus (Distributors, National Key Accounts)
Proven direct and indirect people interaction experience
International exposure.
