Roles and Responsibilities: To take lead in development and production of public green spaces and libraries To oversee the ecosystem management plan of green spaces and libraries ensuring that the natural, cultural, and historical resources are well protected. To work effectively with groups and organizations that would support the development and production of green public spaces and libraries To oversee the work of those involved in the development and production of green spaces and libraries To devise, implement and support local and international initiatives related to ecological conservation, renewal and reforestation Write grant applications; To present budgets of the department to top management and to manage expenditures, overseeing the procurement of equipment, materials and services; To perform other related tasks as required. |
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Plant Sciences, Agriculture, Bio-technology or related field Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Plant Sciences, Agriculture, Bio-technology or related field is an advantage |
Minimum Experience: Eight years of relevant experience for a BA holder Three to five years of relevant experience for a MA holder |
Other Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, diplomatic and negotiation skills Knowledge of the principles of natural conservation Committed to environmentalism |
