Major Responsibilities:
Designs projects/programs to enhance livelihood and integration tools, techniques and develops plans proposals in order to improve MFI outreach;
Determines/monitors and measures the impact of the livelihood and integration efforts and also ensures the maintenance of close cooperation with partners and timely delivery of reports ;
Regularly monitors the livelihood and integration strategies and tools that competitors use and assess effectiveness;
Develops a livelihood and integration training module (social data capturing) in coordination with the training officers;
Maintains updated MOU & protocols with partners;
Ensures social performance management data is captured as part of service delivery process and duly reported to all concerned;
Conducts and coordinates assessment studies, documentation of stories and video clips to document impacts;
Ensures implementation of Institution’s livelihood and integration policy;
Ensures and fosters a smooth and productive relationship with partners and tracks development changes and satisfaction level;
Oversees the overall partnership relationship of the responsible sector to ensure smooth project delivery;
Develops and maintains good and productive working relationship with different partners and government representatives/institutions for their necessary technical and methodological inputs, resource mobilization as well as integration.
2: Implementation of Social Performance Management
Ensures social performance management data is accurately captured as part of service delivery process and duly reported to all concerned;
Meets client needs and their children
Protects our clients and serving them well
Demonstrates the wellbeing of Children
Compiles the level of poverty & clients through PPI tools to analyze change in poverty overtime.
Secures the livelihood and clients of activities entitlements & assets sustainably through integrated approach frame work with partners,
Conducts study to measuring social performance as an internal process of organization on PPI framework through identified parameters to identify MFI impacts.
3. Capacity Building
Provides necessary support for personnel from the project’s management structure to ensure the project’s well-functioning
Collaborates with other sector managers and staffs to develop necessary tools/guides for project development and delivery;
Develops project concept paper and work for availability of fund (Capital ,Material …).
Supports field staffs in establishing appropriate management structures for each project or activity within the sector, with clear roles and responsibilities for each involved party
4. Project Management and Relationship Building
Provides necessary technical and methodological supports for need assessment and take a leading role in program/project development.
Works with field staffs and other key stakeholders, to ensure adequate administrative and legal requirements for project operation
Ensures that activity design and overseeing its implementation confirm to VisionFund principles, approaches, policies, guides, standards etc., and donor requirements, including cross-cutting issues (gender, environment, disabilities etc).
Provides timely advice of actual or expected changes in the project environment that impact on the relevance of plans, timeframes or expected achievements, including recommendations for amendments to project design
Works closely with partners to ensure M&E system, participate actively in development and implementation of the work plan of the livelihood theme, especially advice on research and related policy implementation
Participates in external workshops, working groups and other meetings relevant to VisionFund’s sector activities
Establishes appropriate information-sharing relationships with staff in similar positions within other (MFI & NGOs, government agencies and academic institutions in Ethiopia and internationally
Contributes to advocacy and policy-development activities in the relevant sector at all levels in Ethiopia and internationally (MFI & NGO, government and donor networks, support to policy development activities etc.)
Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification, Skill and Experience:
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
MAM/BA Degree in Economics, social science studies or related field with 5/7 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in English language;
Computer literacy and demonstrated report writing skills;
