Provide leadership to day-to-day operations and management of personnel and activities related to the specific writing, synchronizing, and production, while maintaining focus of the company’s strategic goals.
Develop and implement plans, objectives and goals, including individual and department level.
Establish performance goals for all the employees of the department and monitor performance on a continual basis.
Develop and implement department standards, practices, procedures and policies in line with the Company Policies.
Develop and facilitate training programs to improve relevant knowledge and skills, increase capabilities, and provide on-going mentoring and coaching to the department personnel.
Recruit and hire the best talent for the department with the approval of the DMD.
Plan all activities, prepare a project timeline, set delivery deadlines, and manage the project plan in collaboration with the DMD.
Prepare daily and weekly reports on the progress and performance of the department.
Liaise with other departments/functions on joint tasks, as needed.
Job Requirement
Must have solid experience in project management.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be fluent in Somali and English languages and have a good command of the Amharic Language.
Must have a good understanding of the Ethiopian and Somali cultures.
Must be able to lead a team effectively and inspire creativity of writing, synchronizing, and production by exemplary leadership.
Must be able to manage efficiently several functions at the same time under tight deadlines.
Must be able to take and give direction.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to effectively communicate and engage with multiple stakeholders, including executive management.
