Primary target groups will be caregivers, particularly mothers and fathers of children under 3 years of age, including pregnant women, but we will also include opinion leaders, and influencers, as well as public institutions who play a key role is establishing normative practice, e.g. School Management Committees.
BBC Media Action is currently intending to conduct a formative research in four selected kebeles in the four targeted districts, to understand what knowledge, attitudes and practice individuals in the target communities have on and towards the identified hygiene and sanitation behaviors. The research will also explore barriers and motivators that HEWs and HDAS face in discussing these issues with individuals within the target communities.
