Project Harar Ethiopia (PHE) is an Ethiopian resident Charity, registered in E.F.D.R Ethiopian Charities and Societies Agency. The charity is working on facial disability including cleft lip and palate and collaborates with government sector organizations:- health, labour and social affairs offices, NGOs and local communities to identify people with facial disfigurements from Ethiopia, and arranges for them to access free medical treatment and rehabilitation. PHE further intervenes in demand and awareness creation interventions to the health extension and social workers as well as risk reduction interventions among mothers and the general public in its intervening regions. PHE has been working in Oromia, Somali, SNNP, Tigray and Afar regions of Ethiopia and now expanding its intervention to the Amhara region of Ethiopia. PHE would like to recruit a very committed and knowledgeable site worker to implement its project entitled ‘Addressing Developmental Barriers to Children Born with Congenital Anomalies.

Education and experience:
BA degree in health/nursing from a recognized university or college. Knowledge and experience of the Ethiopia health care system would be mandatory. Candidate must have at least 3 years’ of work experience in the health system. Work experience in NGO set up and knowledge of Oromifa language is an added value.

Result oriented, able to navigate in his/her role proactively, dedicated to deliver project objectives. Honest so that the central management in Addis Ababa is relying on both in terms of financial management and target accomplishments. Have a strong communication and coordination skill and able to prioritize tasks and is sensitive to deadlines/urgency. Able to be a resource person for future expansion thereof. Passionate to work on child focused program. Willing to work out of business hours and dates and able to extensively travel in the operational zones and woredas. Have a very good English written and spoken skill.
