Catalytic Sustainable Agribusiness Investments (CSAI) is a USAID-funded initiative that aims to promote climate-smart agricultural development in East Africa that aligns with the Feed the Future (FtF) objectives of inclusive and sustainable agricultural-led economic growth and strengthened resilience among people and systems. With three specific objectives of: a) Creating an enabling environment for investment in climate smart agriculture; b) Incubating innovative, climate smart and inclusive agriculture businesses that lend themselves to private investment; and c) Accelerating deployment of private capital into scalable climate smart agriculture businesses, the CSAI Activity utilizes a strategy that relies on engagement with and assistance to the private sector.
1. Objective of the assignment
The primary objective of the assignment is to understand the exiting agribusiness impact investment landscape in the country (policy environment and operations) with its challenges and opportunities and provide critical learning and recommendations for relevant actors to further develop the sector.
