The IT support technicians offer support to MOH users who are experiencing problems with their computers, networks, software or other devices. The Support can be provided in person, over the phone or online. They address issues ranging from network systems to individual desktop computers. These technicians are responsible for maintaining the Ministry’s computer services and equipment. Their duties can include troubleshooting to detect and solve technical problems, installing or updating required hardware and software and recommending computer products or equipment to improve Ministry’s productivity. The Support technicians also write manuals for and train users in the use of new hardware and software. Installing new programs and equipment and ensuring the proper functioning of the ministry’s existing computer system are also important daily tasks.
Required Education: BSc/BA degree in Computer Science/IT/ Computer engineering or related fields Work Experience: 2+ years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
